Ahhhh everyone could use a good dose of Shakespeare after having a long weekend...RIGHT??!! haha
The dreaded question I ask myself most mornings. I have to be honest, and say that I do NOT weigh myself everyweek. I just can't. If I get on that scale and all I lost was .5 lbs I don't ever feel like that was enough. However, if i weigh myself every two weeks and I lost 2lbs I feel like heck yes! This was all worth it! I say do what works for you. If you need to do it every week just to see something then go for it. If you're like me and need to see bigger progress then make the time in between your weigh ins a little longer. There is no right or wrong way to do it. Just be sure you are being honest and keep track so that you can see that it is all worth it.
When I knew I was gaining weight I avoided the scale because I knew I wouldn't like what I saw. However, maybe if I had been honest to myself at that time I could have slowed things down before they got too far. I could have had a 30lb goal instead of a 65lb goal. It's important that you get on the scale and get a real number. In March I went to the doctor and found out how much I weighed there and that's what I got serious (no I'm not telling you yet!).
All this boils down to is do what's best for you, but keep track! It's important that at the end of the week, couple weeks, month, whatever that you can say hey I've done something great!! If you are seeing changes you will stick with it longer.
